Jesus taught his disciples to pray in Matthew 6. Randy expounds the truth of prayer with personal insights and experiences. The words of the Lord’s Prayer are not magic, and NOT meant to blindly recite. Dig in and experience a real relationship with the Living God.
“He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy.” Luke 17:14 (NLT) Why give thanks to God for His blessings? Why is it important?
Luke 17:17-19 (NLT) 17 Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.”
Randy explains the process God miraculously takes to transform us from our old customs and habits to the new better life in Christ. “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2 (NLT)
Unless God miraculously opens your eyes you cannot see the Kingdom of Heaven, the spiritual truths of eternity, or understand the gospel of Jesus.
“But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. Matthew 13:16 (NLT)
“Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.” Psalm 119:18 (NIV)
“You are permitted to understand the secrets* of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.” [Matt 13:11-12]
