Commands of Christ

Command 7 Part 1: Do Not Lust (video)

“But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it  from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it  from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.” Matthew 5:28-30 (NKJV)

The Tragedy of Lust
1 Lust is not normal, but abnormal to God
2 People’s consciences are dead to God’s moral standards
3 Christians must deal with lust with extreme measures
4 Lust is not a victimless crime

The Danger of Lust
1 It trains your mind to focus on the delusions of immorality resulting in spiritual blindness
2 Lust always gives birth to sin
3 The trap of immorality holds everyone in spiritual BLINDNESS

True Grace, The Key To Successful Christian Living

“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. 19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.“(Matthew 5:17-19 NLB) Well, Jude says, “ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into lawlessness”contradict (deny or disown) Jesus and put words in His mouth.

Grace is not a license to ignore God’s written commands!

“For certain men have crept in stealthily [gaining entrance secretly by a side door]. Their doom was predicted long ago, ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into lawlessness and wantonness and immorality, and disown and deny our sole Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” [Jude 1:4 AMP]

In the first generation of the church, repentance and the grace of God were already attacked and distorted by false teachers. Remember, our Lord warned us “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing…” [Matt 7:15 (NKJV)]
